MYOWN Musthaffa’s Message to Muslims on
Ramadan
I extend my best wishes to all
Muslims here in Sri Lanka and around the world on the beginning of the blessed
month of Ramazan.
Ramazan is a time for
self-reflection, spiritual devotion and renewal. Muslims at home and abroad
come together to celebrate this holy month of Ramazan, with self-reflection
devotion through prayer and fasting. We must commit ourselves to helping the
less fortunate, including those struggling because of economic hardship and
inequality.
Here in Sri Lanka, Muslims
generally loyal to our country and living together with peace and harmony with
all the communities over thousands of years. Unfortunately, the contemporary
environment in Sri Lanka is driven towards a danger by few extremist groups but
we hope normalcy would return soon and let us pray together for this cause.
Let us together unite ourselves
to unite our country Sri Lanka and live with peace and harmony. Muslims around
the globe are suffering, our prayers and devotions may Insha Allah help them in
reducing their suffering and burdens. Help your selves by giving zakath on time
helping others, which would in return ease all your difficulties and others.
I wish all of you to get maximum
rewards in this holy month of Ramazan by doing good deeds and seeking
forgiveness for whatever the sin committed with or without your knowledge. May
All Mighty Allah bless us. Ramazan Kareem!
