வங்கதேசத்தில் சுஃபி அமைப்பின் தலைவர் (Sufi Muslim leader) மற்றும் அவரது மகள் மர்ம நபர்களால் சுட்டுக்கொலை செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.

வங்கதேசத்தில் 55 வயதான சுஃபி என்னும் பக்தி அமைப்பின் தலைவர் மற்றும் அவரது மகள் மர்ம நபர்களால் சுட்டுக்கொலை செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளதாக பொலிஸார் தகவல் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர்.

சுஃபி என்னும் பக்தி அமைப்பின் தலைவரான பர்கத் ஹுசைன் சவுத்ரி மற்றும் அவரது வளர்ப்பு மகள் ரூபாலி பேகம் ஆகிய இருவரது உடலும், திகாஜ்பூரின் போச்கன்ஜ் உபாசில்லா என்ற இடத்தில் உள்ள  கன்குவா என்னும் சுஃபி அமைப்பை சேர்ந்தவர்கள் பிரார்த்தணை செய்யும் இடத்தில் கண்டெடுக்கப்பட்டது. தலைநகர் டாக்காவில் இருந்து 350 கிலோமீட்டர் தூரத்தில் இந்த இடம் அமைந்துள்ளது.

இருவரது உடலிலும் துப்பாக்கிக் குண்டுகள் பாய்ந்திருந்ததாகவும், ரூபாலி பேகத்தின் தொண்டைப் பகுதியில் கூர்மையான ஆயுதம் ஒன்று துளைத்திருந்ததாகவும் டாக்காவின் பிரபல நாளிதழ் செய்தி வெளியிட்டிருந்தது.

சுஃபி பக்தி அமைப்பின் தலைவரான பர்கத், சேதப்கன்ஜ் நகராட்சி பகுதியின் தலைவராகவும் இருந்தார்.

போச்கன்ஜ் காவல் நிலைய அதிகாரி ஹபிபுள் ஹாக் இந்த சம்பவம் குறித்து வழக்கு பதிவு செய்து விசாரணை நடத்தி வருகிறார். மின்இணைப்பு இல்லாத நேரத்தில் இந்த கொலைச் சம்பவம் நிகழ்ந்துள்ளதாகவும், உயிரிழந்தவர்களின் உடல்கள் பிரேதப் பரிசோதணைக்காக மருத்துவமனைக்கு அனுப்பி வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாகவும் அவர் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

Sufi Muslim leader, maid shot dead in Bangladesh

Unidentified attackers shot dead a Sufi leader and his maid in a remote northern Bangladesh town late Monday, police said, the latest attack targeting religious minorities in the Muslim-majority country.

Police said Farhad Hossain Chowdhury, 55, and his young female maid were found in a pool of blood at his home at Bochaganj, around 350 kilometres (217 miles) north of Dhaka.

"They were shot dead by unidentified attackers at around 8 pm," local police chief Arju Mohammad told AFP by phone.

He said Chowdhury was a Pir, meaning a Sufi Muslim leader, with several hundred disciples in the rural town.

No one claimed the killings but Islamist extremist groups have in recent years murdered scores of religious minorities and foreigners including more than a dozen Sufi Muslims.
